BROKEN BONE HEALED
"A couple of years ago my grandson, Austen, broke a bone in his ankle in three places. This happened on a Saturday, he was out of town in San Antonio and drove to my house (in much agony) to spend the night because the next day was Easter and we were having a big gathering at my house. In the morning after church, he was still sleeping, so I went in to see him. He had his leg propped up on several pillows and his ankle was huge! It was swollen very badly and black and blue & red. It just so happened that Gene was at my house for our Easter meal! (The Lord has such an awesome way of working things out for us!) Gene immediately prayed for healing for my Austen’s ankle. We could see the swelling visibly go down immediately as he prayed. I was standing there with him, and the spirit of the Lord was palpable in that room. So we knew healing had already begun! When my grandson went to the doctor Monday morning, the Dr took an x-ray. That doctor told him he needed to see an orthopedist and sent the x-ray to the orthopedist. (Who, by the way, miraculously had an opening the next day!) The orthopedist looked at the x-ray and asked my grandson, “when was the first time you initially hurt this ankle?” My grandson said, “two days ago.”
The orthopedist replied, “I see from the bruising and the swelling that it was re-injured two days ago. But what I am asking you is, when was the first time that you injured this ankle?” My grandson answered two days ago. The orthopedist held up the x-ray and said, “that’s not possible.” He showed my grandson the three breaks in his bone and pointed out the milky white substance in between each of the obvious breaks. The orthopedist said, “this milky substance indicates that the break happened several weeks ago. Because that milky substance is the bone already beginning to heal, and there is no way it has healed this rapidly in two days!” This was a severe break, the first doctor told Austen initially that he needed to get prepared because he would be in a cast for 8 to 10 weeks bear minimum. He was in a cast for three weeks because after being prayed for his bone had already begun to miraculously heal and continued to heal with supernatural speed!"
PAIN DISAPPEARED
"I have a friend who has a laundry list of medical problems. One of the issues that was causing her a lot of trouble was headaches and tightness in her neck and shoulders. It was unbearable at times. All of her work is done on a computer, so this situation began affecting her work. Plus she felt miserable all of the time. Gene prayed for her and got a sense that she had some unforgiveness. When asked about this she did recognize that there were people she needed to forgive. She started forgiving her mother for a number of things. Gene then prayed for her pain in her neck and shoulders and her headaches. All of that pain went away! Not only did it go away, but she has not had an issue with it again."
CANCER HEALED
I first met Gene Bell at a Keith Miller Conference in Houston and we've been friends ever since. In addition to watching him minister at conferences, I have also had the opportunity to witness his personal ministry with people outside of a conference setting. I am always astonished by the supernatural signs, wonders, and amazing healing miracles that happen before my eyes.
There is one miracle that really stands out in my mind. One man was healed of cancer that had metastasized throughout his body. After Gene prayed for the gentlemen, he returned to the doctor a few weeks later to find all the cancer was completely gone--No treatments or medication were necessary. He was given a complete clean bill of health and is still going strong today.
The angelic often shows up when Gene is around. We were eating in a restaurant late one night after service. I felt a weighty presence pushing down on me but didn't say a thing. A few seconds later Gene said, "Do you feel that weighty presence? It's an angel."
Another night, Gene was praying for a woman at the back of the church after service. Often, when the anointing is strong, oil starts to flow from his hands. As he held her right hand and prayed, oil began to flow out of her left hand.
I've witnessed these and many other things as I have watched him minister to many people. His heart's desire is to see every person walk in complete health and teach others to heal the sick as well.
